We all know that the Dollar Tree has been putting out their Fall and Halloween decor. I recently picked up a few of the orange foam pumpkins that everyone loves to craft with. I really want to change things up and try something different. We craft a lot here at The Shabby Tree but I seem to always use a lot of neutral colors. Today we are going to change things up and we are going to be using a dark blue as well as polka dots.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One orange foam pumpkin from the Dollar Tree

2. Paint pouncer by DecoArt

3. Paint brush

4. Suede Midnight Blue by DecoArt

5. DecoArt Dazzling Metallics (color Glorious Gold)

The first step is to cover the pumpkin with the Suede.

This is a beautiful Midnight Blue. It will take two coats to completely cover the pumpkin.

Once your pumpkin is completely dry it is time to add the Glorious Gold polka dots. This is so quick and easy to do using the double sided pouncer from DecoArt.

You will add as many polka dots as you want and whatever size you want.

Once I added all of my polka dots I then painted the stem with the Glorious Gold. A lot of the Fall decorations that are in the store’s right have a lot of blue in them. This pumpkin is going to mix so well with so many of the decorations for Fall. I hope you will get creative and give this pumpkin a try.
