We recently made a DIY two tiered tray here at The Shabby Tree. I have been getting a lot of questions about how I will be decorating the two tiered tray for Valentine’s Day. I love my candy and snacks so this tray is going to be used for our smaller snack jars.

I wanted a two tiered tray because I want to incorporate some lights on the top.

This tray will be in my kitchen area so I decided to add a few battery operated candles to the top tray.

There are so many things to do with battery operated candles. One of my favorite items to add to a battery operated candle is our DIY sock cover that we made here at The Shabby Tree.

After I placed the candles on the top tray I decided I wanted to add some greenery. I found it easier to use a long greenery garland and create a ring of greenery for the top tray.

I love this greenery and I purchased the garland from Hobby Lobby.

The bottom layer is where I want to keep my smaller jars of candy and snacks.

I am decorating this two tiered tray for Valentine’s Day right now so I added a few red colored candies to my jars.

When I created this two tiered tray I wanted to be able to add my silver, glass and cream ware items to it.

To add a few decorations to the bottom tray I am adding some greenery and red hearts to two small cream pieces.

The top tray needed some red so I added a few red glittered paper hearts to the greenery on the top tray.

You can find packs of these hearts in the Dollar Tree and in Walmart.

I found a pack of small chalkboard hearts in the Dollar Tree. I used a chalk pen to write on them and tied them to the greenery on the top tray.

There are so many different ways to decorate a tiered tray. I hope that mine will inspire you to get creative and have fun decorating.
