Spring is approaching and it is time to start thinking about how you want to decorate for it. I always seem to decorate my fireplace mantel first and I want to use a lot of neutral colors for it this year. One thing I know I want to add to my mantel are a few fun and unique eggs. We recently made wire hanger hearts and I want to try creating a few wire hanger eggs. I think these will look amazing on my mantel and give me that fun and unique look that I’m wanting.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One wire hanger

2. A lace curtain from my local thrift store

3. Hot glue

4. Silver tinsel

5. Ribbon

6. Cotton balls ( I coffee stained my cotton balls)

The first step is to form your hanger into the shape of an egg.

You can make your egg as fat or skinny as you want.

Once you have the shape of your egg you will then place it on top of your piece if lace or material.

You will want to add hot glue over the entire hanger.

Once you have the hot glue over the entire hanger you will then place another piece of lace or material over the hanger.

Be sure to press down on the material and get both pieces to stick together.

Once you have the material attached to the hanger you will then cut out the egg. I cut along the hanger but I left some space because I do not want my hanger showing.

Once you have your egg created it is then time to get creative and add your ribbons or tinsel.

I added just tinsel to one and then I added tinsel with cotton balls to a few.

These are so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you will get creative and give these a try.
