Fall is quickly approaching and it’s time to start making some fun Fall decor. I was recently in Five Below and came across the perfect rug for some Fall crafts.
We’ve used this style rug for crafting in the past but they now have new colors. The colors in this rug will be perfect for creating a fun and unique pumpkin. You can find this style rug on Five Below by clicking my referral link down below.
You can find the list of supplies that I’ll be using down below.
1. One rug from Five Below
2. Hot glue
3. Seam ripper
4. Scissors
5. Plastic pumpkin
6. Crystal knob ( optional)
The first step is to use the seam ripper to cut apart the rug.
You want to pull apart all of the strips from the rug.
Once you get all of the strips separated you’ll then start glueing them onto the plastic pumpkin.
Be sure to flip the pumpkin over and start gluing from the top.
Bring the strip down the pumpkin and glue the end of the strip up into the side of the pumpkin. .
I’m alternating the yellow and orange strips as shown in photo above.
Once I had the strips all in place I then added a crystal knob to the top of my pumpkin. You can also use a stick from a tree or any other type of knob for a stem. The knob that I’m using is from Hobby Lobby.
I decided to tie one of the strips around the base of the knob for a pop of green.
This pumpkin was so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun pumpkin a try.
