I started decorating for Fall and Halloween and I seem to be a little obsessed with ghosts this year. You’ll see a variety of ghosts throughout my home but I want to make just a few more. I thought we could easily make a few light up ghosts using a few Dollar Tree items.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. Two wire mesh baskets from the Dollar Tree
2. A piece if a white bed sheet
3. Cheese cloth
4. Black felt
5. Hot glue
6. Wire cutters
7. Two small zip ties
8. Battery operated lights
9. One plastic cloche from the Dollar Tree
The first step is to use the zip ties to attach the two baskets together as shown in photo below.
Once you have the baskets secured together you’ll then use the wire cutters to cut the top ring off.
Once you have the ring off you’ll then bend in the top of the basket.
I wrapped some cheese cloth around the top half. The cheese cloth will help you not to see the wire basket when lit up.
The plastic cloche is optional but it did give my ghost a more rounded look on the top.
I cut two eyes out of the black felt and glued them onto the sheet.
I placed battery operated timer lights down into the top basket. You can pull some of the lights down into the bottom basket. You can find the lights that I used on our website by clicking the link down below.
This ghost was so quick and easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun ghost a try.
