I love collecting buttons, broken jewelry, and bling. After looking through all of my items, I decided it would be fun to use some on a jar. This jar will have a vintage feel and can be used for a variety of things.

The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.

1. One 64 ounce wide mouth mason jar

2. Hot glue

3. One Dr. Scholl’s diabetes sock

4. Buttons, bling, and broken jewelry

5. Metallic gold spray paint

The first step is to slip the sock onto the mason jar as shown in the photo above. Once the sock is in place, I then spray-painted the jar and sock.

Once the spray paint was dry, I then started gluing on the buttons. I used a sock over the jar because it made this process so much easier.

There’s no right or wrong way to do this. I just randomly started gluing on the buttons, and then I started adding some bling and broken jewelry.

As you can see, I did not completely cover the entire sock.

This can be created for an all year long decoration or you can make them for different holidays. I think this would make a great gift idea. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
