It is time to start decorating your porch for summer and I want to create a few fun containers for flowers. I love antiques but sometimes they can cost a lot. Old antique containers are always one of my favorite items for flowers. I have been looking at old chicken feeders in a few antique stores but they seem to be pricey. After looking through my craft items I realized we can create a container that will look like a chicken feeder.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One large recycled can

2. Pie or cake pan from the Dollar Tree

3. Hot glue

4. Aluminum cookie sheet from the Dollar Tree

5. Lid from my Folgers coffee can

6. Paint brush

7. Scissors

8. Misty Gray chalky finish spray paint

9. DecoArt burnt orange paint

10. Americana maple gel stain

11. E6000 glue

The first step is to spray paint the can and pie pan.

I then added some of the burnt orange paint in small areas.

I first added the burnt orange and then added the gel stain over the burnt orange. This will give the look of rust.

I used E6000 glue to attach the two pieces together.

I wanted a lid so I spray painted the coffee lid and then added a strip of the cookie sheet for a handle.

This is so easy to create and turns out so cute. I hope you will have fun and give this a try.
