I’m starting to decorate my mantel for Valentine’s Day and I decided to make some hearts to hang on it. I love changing out my mantel for all holidays and seasons.

The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below:

1. Cardboard

2. Mod podge

3. Scissors

4. Hot glue

5. Music sheets

6. Gold glitter

7. Gold tinsel or twine

8. X-acto knife

9. Flowers from a garland

The first step is to cut a heart shape out of a piece of cardboard. I cut a heart out of a sheet of paper to use as a pattern.

Once I had the cardboard heart cut out, I traced it onto some music paper.

I added the music paper to the cardboard using Mod Podge.

I added some gold cord around the edge of the heart and some flowers to the front. You can add some glitter to give the heart some sparkle.

I added some wire to the top of the heart to hang from my mantel.

These hearts are so easy to make and I love how you can make them all different sizes. I hope you’ll get creative and give these hearts a try.
