If you’re a crafter then you probably have a large selection of ribbon. There are so many things that you can do with ribbon but I want to try and make a fun and unique tree.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Ribbon on a wooden spool

2. Hot glue

3. Wooden boxes that I purchased from Target

4. Scissors

5. Cream chalky finish paint by DecoArt

6. Paint brush

7. Antique Gold Rub’n Buff

The first thing that I did was paint the outside of my wooden box with the cream paint.

I added some of the rub’n Buff to a wet paper towel.

I wiped the Rub’n Buff over the box as shown in photo above.

The next step is to start adding strips of ribbon to form a tree.

You can use any type of ribbon and you can place your strips of ribbon any way that you want.

Once I got to the top I decided to glue on a bling embellishment.

To make my tree more unique I decided to glue the spool to my box.

These are so much fun to make and I love how you can create them all different colors.

I hope you will get creative and give this easy tree a try.
