I started decorating my Americana tree and I wanted to create something fun to add to it. When decorating for Fourth of July I always love adding a little red sparkle to my decorations. After going through my craft supplies I decided that we can create something fun using toothpicks.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Toothpicks
2. Wooden kabob sticks
3. Paint brush
4. DecoArt country red paint
5. StarCraft shark bite glitter
6. Elmer’s glue
7. Smooth styrofoam balls 1.5”
The first step is to snap the toothpicks in half.
You will then place one styrofoam ball onto the end of the kabob stick.
You then just randomly add the toothpicks.
Once all the tooth picks are in place you then paint everything with the paint. I am using the color country red by DecoArt.
While the paint is still wet you will then paint on the Elmer’s glue. You will want to completely cover everything g with the Elmer’s glue.
The last step is to sprinkle on the glitter.
These are fun to add to a tree, wreath or flowers. You can create these any color that you want. These would look so pretty created in a yellow or pink for summer. I hope you will all get creative and give this a try.
