I was in Target over the weekend and I came across a fun wood flowers kit. This kit was $5.00 and I just knew I wanted to get creative with it.

The supplies that I’ll be using are Surebonder fabric and scrap pieces of chenille fabric.

I’ll be covering the bottom part of the flowers with the green colored chenille fabric. This fabric is a piece from an old ripped bedspread.

I traced front and back of each flower onto the fabric.

Once I traced the flowers onto the fabric I then cut them out.

I cut them out slightly bigger than what I traced.

Once I had my fabric cut I then added the Surebonder glue to the flower.

I pressed the flower down onto the fabric. Once I had the fabric glued to one side I then added more glue to the other side.

Once I had the fabric glued to both sides I then added glue around the edges.

Once I added the glue I then pinched all of the edges together.

I did the same thing to the second flower but I ended up cutting each piece into two pieces.

I wanted to make sure to leave the space down the middle opened.

Once I had the bottom part of the flowers covered with the fabric I then traced the top part.

I’m using a scrap piece of a yellow chenille fabric for the top of the flowers.

I did the same process for the top of the flowers as I did for the bottom of the flowers.

Once I had the flowers covered with the fabric I then slid one flower into the other.

The flower might snap because of the thickness of the fabric. If it snaps you can just glue it in place.

This was such a fun and very easy makeover. These flowers will look so cute mixed in with my summer decor. I hope this will inspire you to get creative and change things up to match your decor.
