I have been cleaning and getting organized for my move to my new warehouse. While I was going through all of my material I realized I have a few chenille bedspreads. If you ever see a chenille bedspread in a yard sale or local thrift store you should definately buy it. A bedspread is a great item to use for crafting. I knew as soon as I looked at mine that it was a great piece to make a tree with.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Chenille bedspread (you can use any type of material you want)

2. Scissors

3. Surebonder fabric glue

4. A large piece of paper (I am using a piece of tissue paper)

5. Paper towel holder or you can use a wooden dowel and a piece of wood.

6. Polyester Fiberfil

The first step is to cut out your pattern. I am using a large piece of white tissue paper to make my pattern. You will need to fold it in half and draw your triangle.

Cut your triangle out and this is what you will use to trace onto your material.

You will make this triangle whatever size you want. I did not measure.

Place your pattern onto your material and trace it.

You will need to do this two times. I found it easier to cut my material by doing one at a time. You can double your material and cut two out at once if you want.

You should now have two triangles.

Place one triangle on top of the other with your good sides facing in.

Take the surebonder glue and start glueing you’re two pieces together. Start at the bottom and be sure to leave a large opening in the center.

You will want to stuff the triangle.

After you stuff the triangle you will then insert your stand. I am using a paper towel holder that I found at my local Goodwill.

You will want to add more stuffing to be sure it is completely stuffed

I then added some more surebonder glue to seal my opening closed.

I just love how this tree turned out. You can get so creative with this and use any type of material you want. This is so simple to make and I hope you will all give it a try.

I buy my polyester fiberfil in Hobby Lobby.

I used this paper towel holder that I found at my local Goodwill for the base of my tree.
