Ok I was in Target and I found some fun wood ornaments in their dollar spot. I knew I had to get some and try to get creative with them. After looking at them for a while I decided that they would work perfect for creating a quick and very easy angel.

They have two different kind and I’ll be using the oval shaped ones for this angel.

You’ll find these in the Target dollar spot and they are a pack of 4 for $3.00.

The items that I’ll be using for this angel are:

1. One wood ornament

2. Hot glue

3. One small doily

4. One handkerchief

5. Tinsel

6. Mica flakes

7. Elmer’s glue

8. One paper plate

9. Scissors

The first thing that I did was to remove the small screw for the hanger.

Once I removed the screw I then screwed it back in on the other end of the bulb.

The next step is to add the doily. You’ll need to cut a small hole in the center of the doily.

Add some hot glue to the bottom edge of the ornament and then slip the doily on.

Once the doily is in place you’ll need to add the handkerchief.

You’ll fold the handkerchief in half and then in half again. This will give you a center point to cut a small hole.

You’ll slide the handkerchief onto the wood ornament and then add hot glue.

I added some tinsel to the head as shown in photo below.

You’ll now need to make some wings. I folded a paper plate in half and cut out wings.

I painted on some Elmer’s glue and then sprinkled on some Mica flakes.

I painted on some Elmer’s glue and then sprinkled on some Mica flakes.

I glued the wings onto the back.
