Summer is right around the corner and it is time to start decorating. I have been seeing a lot of decor with bumble bees and beehive’s. We recently made an amazing twine beehive but I believe I have a very quick and easy way to create a beehive decoration.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Ten jumbo craft sticks

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Black paint

5. Antique gold paint

6. Walnut color gel stain

7. Twine

8. Spanish moss and greenery

9. Paint brush (optional)

You will want to start trimming the craft sticks. First you will want to lay down one craft stick as is. You will then start trimming a little off each craft stick as you keep adding them.

I lined up 9 craft sticks. You will then add hot glue down the center of all the craft sticks.

You will then lay the last craft stick on top of the hot glue. This will hold all the craft sticks in place.

This will now be the backside to the beehive. Flip the beehive over and paint the front yellow.

Once I had it painted all yellow I then added on some of the walnut gel stain here and there.

You will use the black paint to paint the opening in the front.

I decided to add a little spanish moss and greenery to the front. This is optional al but I love how it turned out.

I glued a small piece of twine to the back for a hanger. This is so quick and easy to make. I hope you will get creative and give it a try.
