I recently bought doll house shingles from Hobby Lobby and I have been trying to find a few things to create with them. Summer will soon be coming to an end and it will be time to start decorating for Fall. A few of our followers have suggested that we try making corn out of the doll house shingles. I think this will be a fun and easy item to create.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Corn husks

2. Hot glue

3. Cardboard

4. Doll house shingles (I got these from Hobby Lobby)

5. Yellow and white paint

6. Paint brush

7. Raffia

8. Paint stick

9. Scissors

10. Marker

The first step is to cut out a shape from the cardboard for the corn.

I then started glueing the shingles onto the cardboard as shown in photo below.

I just continued over lapping the shingles as I worked my way up the cardboard.

Once I had the cardboard covered with the shingles I then added the yellow and white paint.

I glued the paint stick to the backside of the corn.

I then started glueing on strips of the corn husk.

I ripped the corn husk into smaller strips and glued them around the corn.

I tied some raffia around the base of the corn.

These are very easy to create and make a great Fall decoration. You can add these to a tree or place in a container. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
