I found myself looking at all of the Christmas decorations that are clearance in the stores right now. You will find a lot of Christmas items that can be incorporated into your Valentine decorations. I bought a bag of bowl filler that I know will be perfect for making some hearts to hang across mantel.

You can find the bag of bowl filler that I’m using from Hobby Lobby for 70% off.

The other supplies that I’m using are:

1. Cardboard

2. Wire

3. Scissors

4. X-acto knife

5. Hot glue

6. Extreme Sheen metallic paint by DecoArt ( color Rose Gold)

You’ll want to draw a heart onto the cardboard. There are so many different ways to get creative with this.

Once you have your hearts drawn you’ll then cut them out. You can draw solid hearts or some with the center cut out. Once I got them cut out I then painted them with the rose gold colored paint.

I added some wire to the top part of the heart before adding the bowl filler.

I added a lot of glue and then added the ball bowl filler. You can add these how ever you want.

You’ll need to hold the balls in place until they are secured in place by the hot glue.

These hearts are so easy to make and one bag allowed me to make 3 hearts with balls left over.

These hearts can be hung any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
