I have been seeing all kinds of flowers on Pinterest that are made with Plaster of Paris and I knew I had to give it a try. These flowers will be amazing to add to a wreath or just place throughout your home for decoration. I’m very excited to give this a try and I hope they will be a great flower to add to my trees. This project seems to be a messy one so I decided to give it a try outside.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Plaster of Paris

2. Artificial flowers

3. Measuring cup

4. Water

5. Wax paper or parchment paper

6. Bowl

7. Spoon or spatula

You will want a tray or piece of cardboard to place your wax paper onto. You will be mixing 2 parts of Plaster of Paris to one part water.

I find that it works better if you add a little extra water. If it is too thick it is harder to get your whole flower to cover evenly.

You will dip your flower in the mixture. I bought my flowers from the Dollar Tree.

I bought a variety of flowers. Most of my flowers required 2 dips. I let them dry after the first dip and then dipped for a second time.

The flowers that were bright in color took at least 2 dips to cover.

I decided to leave a few of my flowers with the color showing through.

I took white paint and lightly painted all my flowers.

You can add glitter to the centers of your flowers. This was a messy project but well worth it. I’m very excited to add a few of these flowers to my wreaths and trees.

I hope you will all give this a try. I found a lot of flowers in the Dollar Tree that worked perfect for this project.
