I decorate a lot throughout my home and I wanted to make something that i can use in a variety of ways. These twine balls can be put into my everyday trees or placed on terra cotta pots.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Twine or jute

2. Wood glue ( I’m using gorilla wood glue)

3. Scissors

4. Rubber gloves

5. Balloon

6. Bowl

The first thing you will need to do is blow up your ballon to the size twine ball you will want. I am making three different sizes.

The first thing you will need to do is blow up your ballon to the size twine ball you will want. I am making three different sizes.

You will need to cut some pieces of twine. I just cut random pieces. I did not measure the length I just cut.

You will want to our some of the wood glue into a bowl.

You will want to dip your strip of twine into the wood glue. I dip it and then I squeeze it out.

You want to make sure to squeeze as much of the glue off of the twine as you can.

You will then start wrapping the twine around the balloon. There is no certain way of doing this. I just wrap the twine in all directions.

Once I have the twine wrapped around the balloon I then hang them to dry.

I just hung them from my chandelier. I give them a good 24 hours to dry.

Once they are dry I take a needle to pop the balloon. The balloon will deflate and pull alway from the twine.

Once the balloon deflates I pull it out and you now have a twine ball. You will have some of the glue on the twine ball that you will need to break off.

I use my fingers and a hard toothbrush to remove the excess glue.

Once your twine balls are complete it is time to display them. You can add lights to them as shown here.

I am placing a few in my trees and on my fireplace mantel.

These twine balls can also be added to some decorative pots. I added a few to some terra pots to make a display for the center of my table.
