I have been buying this amazing vintage Christmas paper from Marshall’s and I want to use some of it for my crafts. We made a few smaller decorations using it but I think I found a way to create a large decorative star using it.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Vintage Christmas paper from Marshall’s

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Red spray paint

5. Natural wood sticks 16” long and 3/8 width (I purchased these sticks from Amazon)

6. Ink pen

I will be using 20 sticks to make one star. You will want to put a mark in the center of 4 of the sticks. My mark is at the 8 inch line.

You will use the hot glue to glue all 4 sticks together at the center mark.

Once you have the center all glued together you will then start to glue the end sticks for the points to the star.

Once I had the star glued together I then covered it with red spray paint.

I traced sections of the star onto the vintage paper and then cut them out.

You will glue the paper to the back side of the star.

This star is very large and measures 45 inches wide when finished. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
