Spring is approaching and It’s time to start thinking about your Spring decorations. I have been seeing a lot of mushroom decor this year so I thought it would be fun to create some quick and easy mushrooms.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. Waverly chalk paint ( Hazelnut and Truffle)
2. Crew socks from the Dollar Tree
3. Set of 6.5” plastic bowls from the Dollar Tree
4. Hot glue
5. Poly-fil stuffing
6. Floral foam
7. Glass vase from the Dollar Tree
8. Plastic bottle from Walmart
9. Plastic flower pot
10. Paint brush
I added hot glue to the plastic bowl and then added the poly-fil to the hot glue.
Once I had the poly-fil added to the bowl I then placed the sock over the bowl.
I added a piece of floral foam up into the sock and bowl.
Once I had the floral foam in place I then added the plastic bottle up into the sock.
I added some hot glue to the center area of the mushroom as shown in photo above.
Once I had the mushroom complete I then painted the entire mushroom. I used a truffle colored chalk paint.
I did the same thing to a small plastic flower pot.
I used a glass vase from the Dollar Tree for the stem. You can add extra stuffing to inside of the mushroom to help secure the styrofoam in place.
I used a Hazelnut colored chalk paint on this mushroom.
I decided to leave a little white from the sock show on the mushrooms. These mushrooms can be painted any color that you want.
These mushrooms are so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give these mushrooms a try.
