The stores are putting out their Valentine candy and I always love the small boxes of Sweethearts. These are cute boxes of candy that we can easily turn into a fun Valentine decoration.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Boxes of Sweethearts

2. Hot glue

3. X-acto knife

4. Pipe cleaners

5. Valentine hang tags from Amazon

I used the x-acto knife to cut out the heart on the front of the box.

Once the heart is cut out you’ll want to remove the candy.

I decided to paint the inside of the box but this is an optional step.

Once I had the inside painted I then opened up the bottom of the box. This is where you’ll slide your hang tag or ornament into the box.

You’ll want to glue the bottom of the shut again.

You can find the items that I got from Amazon on my Amazon store front by clicking the link down below.

I added some hot glue and moss to the inside bottom of the box. This will prevent my ornament on the inside from moving around.

I added some hot glue and a pipe cleaner around the edge of the heart cutout.

I poked two holes into the top of the box and added a pipe cleaner for a hanger.

I bent the ends of the pipe cleaner on the inside of the box.

You can make these with all different items for the inside of the box.

You can add a dowel to the bottom of the box to add them to some flowers or greenery.

These are so easy to make and I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
