Mod Podge Craft Using Sea Shells

by blewis | Sep 11, 2024 | Christmas/Winter, Holiday | 16 comments

I seem to scroll through Amazon a lot lately looking for craft items. There are so many different things that you can use for crafting. I came across some large sea shells that caught my eye. These will make a fun craft item.
You can find the exact sea shells that I ordered by clicking my referral link down below.
https://www.amazon.com/shop/theshabbytree/list/3P1T9U2GJA6TW?ref_=aipsflist_aipsftheshabbytree
You can find the list of supplies that I’ll be using down below.
1. Mod Podge
2. Mod Podge brush
3. Napkin
4. Large sea shell
5. Drill and small drill bit
6. Pipe cleaner
I drilled 2 small holes at the top of the sea shell. This will allow you to add a hanger for an ornament.
You’ll want to remove the back layers of the napkin as shown in photo above.
The first step is to add the Mod Podge to the inside of the sea shell.
Once the Mod Podge is added you’ll then place the napkin on top.
You’ll want to add more Mod Podge over the napkin. You can cut or rip the edge of the napkin off going around the sea shell.
You can use different napkins for different seasons and holidays.
I decided to add some tacky glue and glitter around the edges of the sea shell.
These make a great ornament or a small decorative dish. I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun diy a try.

Oh my Barb , these are so easy peasy and beautiful , and would make great gifts year round , using everyday or seasonal napkins. Where did you get the vintage Santa napkin with the boy/ girl kissing him on the cheeks 🎅 ?….love it !!!. , and also the mod podge brushes ?, have never seen these before 🤔
