I was shopping in HomeGoods a few weeks ago and I found some beautiful throw rugs. The color of the rugs caught my eye and I knew I had to get them. We are always creating unique items here at The Shabby Tree and I just know that these rugs will make amazing carrots.
I always tell everyone to think outside the box and look at items in a different way then what they are meant for. There are so many things you can create with a throw rug. I want to create a large pocket carrot. This carrot can be hung any where in your home. I also think this pocket carrot can be used as an Easter stocking and filled with snacks and goodies.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Throw rug (this rug is from HomeGoods)
2. Scissors
3. Surebonder fabric glue for glue gun
4. Wire
5. Wire cutters
6. Greenery
I cut out two pieces from the rug to form my carrot.
You will want to use the surebonder glue to attach both pieces of the rug together.
I am using a piece of wire to create a hanger at the top of the carrot.
You can add greenery to create a fun spring decoration to hang in your home.
I will be creating 7 of these hanging pocket carrots giving one to each of my employees. They will be so cute hanging on our mantle and filled with goodies for my employees for Easter.
