I found myself in Target today and of course I had to check out their dollar section. You will see a lot of crafters getting creative with items from this section. I came across a set of two small cheese boards for $5.00. As soon as I saw these cheese boards I knew we could easily create an angel.

There are so many different ways to get creative with these cheese boards but today we will be creating an angel.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One small cheese board from Target

2. Decoupage

3. Hot glue

4. Drill with small drill bit

5. One silver pipe cleaner

6. White paint

7. A scrap piece of lace

8. Paint brush

9. Ribbons and silver tinsel

10. One bling embellishment

11. One Dollar Tree aluminum cookie sheet

12. Marker

13. Angel wing pattern ( you can print mine down below)

14. Mica flakes ( these are from our website)

The first step is to cut your piece of lace to the size of the cutting board as shown in photo above.

You will add the decoupage onto the cutting board.

Place the lace over the decoupage and then add more decoupage over the lace.

Set that aside and then cut out the wings.

You will trace your wing pattern onto the cookie sheet and then cut them out.

Paint both sides of the wings with the white paint.

Once the white paint is dry you will then add decoupage to both sides.

Sprinkle the mica flakes over the decoupage.

Drill a small hole in the top handle area of the cutting board as shown above.

Use the silver pipe cleaner to create a halo and place it in the hole. I added a small amount of hot glue to hold it in place.

I cut a few strips of ribbon and tinsel to add around the neck.

I added a small amount of hot glue to hold them in place and then added the bling embellishment on top.

I added hot glue to the back and added the wings.

This angel is so easy to make and there are so many different ways to create it. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
