We create a lot of things here at The Shabby Tree using cardboard. I have recently been trying to create items to look like cement. This had be thinking and I thought it would be fun to try and create a cement bunny using a piece of cardboard. We will be creating a bunny but you can cut any shape that you want out of the cardboard.
The main supply I will be using is Pro Select ready-mix concrete patch. I will also be using cardboard, grey paint and white chalk paint.
I traced a plastic bunny onto the cardboard and cut it out.
The first step is to paint the cardboard bunny grey.
I then painted on the cement patch.
Once the cement patch was dry I then painted on the grey paint. You will want to add some white paint here and there while the grey paint t is still wet. You will will want to blend the white paint into the grey paint. This is going to help give it more of the cement color.
This is so easy to create and I just love how you can create any shape that you want. This would work great for a heart shape.
