We have been very busy here at The Shabby Tree getting a head start on our Fall decor. Fall is right around the corner and it is time to start creating a few decorations. I recently picked up a few different types of mop heads that will create a fun and unique pumpkin wreath.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One spin mop refill (I purchased mine from Walmart)

2. One cotton mop head from the Dollar Tree

3. Cardboard

4. Wooden shim

5. Spanish moss

6. Small piece of burlap

7. Hot glue

8. Scissors

9. Orange paint

You will want to color both mop heads orange. I mixed water and orange paint to color mine. You can add the water to the paint and then dip in the mop heads. I added some vanilla and cinnamon for a fun Fall scent. I squeezed out the excess water and then laid them in the sun to dry.

You will want to pull out all of the mop strands from the Dollar Tree mop head.

I glued a few of the mop strands around the plastic center of the spin mop head.

You will cut out a round piece of cardboard to the size of the spin mop head. I also cut out two smaller cardboard circles to add to the center of the cardboard circle. You want these two smaller circles to fit into the center hole of the spin mop head. These two smaller circles will add height to the center so that you can continue adding the mop strips.

You will glue the spin mop head onto the cardboard and then add the mop strips to the center. Once you have the mop glued to the cardboard you will have to continue to glue down the outer layers of the spin mop head.

I wrapped some burlap around the wooden shim to create a stem to the pumpkin. I hot glued the stem to the back side and then added some Spanish moss to the top.

This is fun and easy to make and I hope you will give it a try.
