It is time to start thinking ahead for a few Spring and Easter decorations. I find myself walking the isles in the Dollar Tree a lot and for some reason a paint roller caught my eye. I believe the color of the paint roller gave me the idea to create a carrot.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Paint roller (I purchased mine from the Dollar Tree)

2. Hot glue

3. Greenery sprig

4. Clothes pins

5. Orange paint and cinnamon (optional)

6. Scissors

The first step is to cut the paint roller. You will want to cut this roller to create two pieces.

You will use the scissors to cut a straight line down the roller.

You can flip the roller and continue cutting in the opposite direction if you are having a hard time going straight across.

Once you have a straight line cut it is time to cut the other side.

You should now have the roller cut into two pieces.

You will then use the scissors to form the shape of a carrot.

You will do this to both pieces.

I then got glued a piece of greenery to the back side of the roller.

I want to clip these carrots onto a tree or garland so I glued a wooden clothespins to back side of the roller.

You can leave the carrots this very pale orange color or you can paint them.

I added some orange paint to water and mixed in some cinnamon.

I painted this mixture over the top of the carrots. If you want a grungier look you can sprinkle extra cinnamon on top of the carrot.

These are so easy to make and you get two carrots from one paint roller.
