I’m starting to decorate for Fall and I would like to make a few more pumpkins to place around my home. We have made a variety of pumpkins here at The Shabby Tree but I want to create some that can light up and be made in a variety of sizes. After going through my craft supplies I realized that embroidery hoops would work perfect for the pumpkins I have in mind.

The supplies that I’ll be using are :

1. Embroidery hoops in different sizes

2. Hot glue

3. Cheese cloth that I colored orange.

4. Nautical rope from the Dollar Tree

5. Burlap leaves from the Dollar Tree

6. Scissors

You will want to take the inner ring out of the embroidery hoop.

You will want to start wrapping the cheese cloth around the embroidery hoop. I started at one end and worked my way over to the end.

I colored my cheese cloth with instant coffee and watered down orange paint.

Once you get to the other end of the embroidery hoop you will then place the outer ring on top.

You will want to cut the end of the cheese cloth.

I used two different size embroidery hoops to make two pumpkins.

I used the nautical rope to create a stem for the pumpkin. You will want to make the stem where the embroidery hoop connector is.

I added some Spanish moss and some burlap leaves to the top.

I want my pumpkins to light up so I added some wire battery operated lights in between the layers of cheese cloth.

These pumpkins are so easy to make and will look great any where in your home.
