I have always loved trees my whole life which is why I named my business The Shabby Tree. One of my followers sent me a tree that was made out of a sisal rope. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to give it a try. This can be done with a variety of ropes and done in all sizes. I have a feeling I’m going to be making a lot of these trees.

I used some really sharp clippers to cut my sisal rope. You will need a dowel, rope of your choice, some good cutters and something to hold your dowel.

I used some really sharp garden clippers to cut my sisal rope.

I used a 3/8” sisal rope that I purchased from Amazon. You can use any size rope you would like. The thicker your rope is the harder it will be to cut.

I placed my dowel into a block of wood so that my tree will stand up. I drilled a hole into the wood and placed the dowel into the hole.

I have to give credit for this amazing tree to Country Design Style. I got the directions for making this tree from her blog. Just click below and you can find the directions to make this tree here.
