I seem to have a lot of empty Clorox wipe containers which got me thinking about away to reuse them. Christmas is right around the corner and I thought it would be fun to make a decorative tissue container out of some. I would like to create a decorative tissue container that can be changed out for different holidays or seasons.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One recycled Clorox wipe container

2. Surebonder fabric glue

3. Scissors

4. Ribbon

5. Velcro strip

6. Doilies

7. Timeless colored Chalky Finish paint by DecoArt

8. Deep Brown creme wax by DecoArt

9. Bling

The first thing that I did was remove the label from the Clorox wipe container. Be sure to get any glue from the label off of the container. Once I had the label removed I then painted in the Chalky finish paint.

Once the paint was dry I then added the dark brown creme wax over the paint.

I decided to add a coat of a spray adhesive to help prevent any paint from peeling off of the container.

Once the container was dry I then added the tissues into the container.

I opened the box of tissues and then placed the stack of tissues down into the container.

As you pull one tissue out of the container the next one should be at the top.

I cut different ribbons to fit around the container and glued velcro to the ends.

The velcro will allow you to add the ribbon around the container and change ribbons for different holidays.

I glued a doily and some bling onto the front of each ribbon strip.

You can find the bling that I used on Totally Dazzled by clicking my referral link down below.

This tissue container is very easy to make and would make a fun gift for anyone. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
