Easter will be here before you know it and I thought it would be fun to create an Easter Door Hanger. This will be a very easy door hanger to make and you can find the supplies listed down below.

1. One round wooden tray

2. Hot glue

3. Scrap piece of burlap

4. Sheets from a hymnal book

5. Mod podge

6. Paint brush

7. Moss

8. Greenery sprig

9. Drill and small drill bit

10. Wire

11. Giant craft sticks from Walmart

12. Black acrylic paint

13. Oak colored gel stain by DecoArt

14. Staple gun

15. Scissors

I purchased this set of wood round trays from Hobby Lobby. I’ll be using the largest tray for this door hanger.

The first thing I did was paint the entire tray with a black acrylic paint.

Once the paint was dry I then stapled on a scrap piece of burlap to the bottom front half of the tray.

I folded the top edge before I stapled it in place.

Once I had it stapled in place I then trimmed the excess off as shown in photo above.

I took a few pages out of a hymnal book and then used the mod podge to secure them in place.

I added mod podge to the tray and then added the pages.

Once I had the pages in place I then added more pod podge over the pages.

Once I had the pages secured in place I then added hot glue to the edge of the burlap.

I added the moss on top of the hot glue going around the edge of the burlap.

Once I had the moss glued around the edge of the burlap I then placed some moss into the pocket. I did not glue the moss in the pocket.

I cut some of the giant craft sticks to make 3 crosses. You can cut your craft sticks as big or as small as you want.

I added some hot glue and formed the crosses.

Once I had the crosses made I then covered them with the oak colored gel stain.

I decided to add some pieces of a baby grass sprig to the pocket. You can find this baby grass sprig on our website by clicking the link down below.

I decided to glue on a bling cross. This an optional step. This cross is from our Shabby Tree pack of bling by Totally Dazzled. You can check out our pack of bling by clicking the link down below.

I added all three crosses to the burlap pocket. This was very easy to make and will look great hanging any where in my home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
