I started The Shabby Tree in October of 2018 as a way to share my creative ideas and inspire others to be unique in their home and everyday fashion. I have always loved decorating and crafting since I was a little girl so I thought it would be fun to do the things I already loved, but begin to share them on Facebook and my blog and that is how The Shabby Tree was born!

At the time I started The Shabby Tree Joy was away at college in Philadelphia, PA and Hope was at college not too far from where we live. This left me with a lot of free time and that is when I decided to begin The Shabby Tree. I started sharing my home decor and did live craft videos at my dining room table. I had also started The Shabby Tree boutique at this time and ran that out of the basement in our home.

In the fall of 2019 we outgrew the space of our home and moved into a warehouse space! It was a small warehouse space but it was perfect at the time! You can see a few pictures of our old wareshouse below!

While we were in our old warehouse space we hit 500,000 followers and had a photoshoot to celebrate!

We quickly outgrew that space within a year and moved into our current warehouse space in the Summer of 2020. We absolutely love our current warehouse space! It is so special to us and there are so many decorations that we love throughout this space! You can see a few photos of our current warehouse below.

Our family home was where The Shabby Tree was born and it is so fitting because now each member of our family plays a huge role at The Shabby Tree! My son Bo works for The Shabby Tree online part time while away at college, Joy and Hope have been working for The Shabby Tree for over a year now and recently my husband Wally retired and is also working for The Shabby Tree full time!

When I started The Shabby Tree out of my house 2 1/2 years ago, I never in my wildest dreams thought we would have a million people as part of our Shabby Tree family! I now have a full team of amazing employees and a million of the most amazing followers! The Shabby Tree would not be what it is without all of you and your constant love and support! Thank you so much for helping us reach this point and for the support you show us each and every day! We love you all and are so happy to have you as part of our Shabby Tree family!!!!

And lastly I can’t forget to mention the SURPRISE!! I have always wanted a bubble truck and said that once we hit a million followers we would get one for The Shabby Tree… well we now have a Shabby Tree bubble truck! We hope to have meet and greets one day and this truck is going to be the perfect prop for photos! We are so excited and hope you all are too!
